The Mermaid & Dolphin: A Boutique Hotel & Spa Resort   is located on sunny Galveston Island, only 45 miles South of Houston.  Just 10 blocks to the Seawall Beaches and 13 blocks to the Historic Strand Shopping District, the Inn is centrally located  to all Island attractions; The University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas A&M University,  Moody Gardens, Gallery Row, Galveston Harbor, and the Seawall & Central Business District shops.

Directions

From Houston:
Take I-45 South to Galveston Island. I-45 turns into Hwy 87/Broadway. Come onto the Island approximately one (1) mile. At the intersection of 33rd Street and Broadway, there will be a stop light. Turn Right. Go one (1) block. The Inn is the white mansion on the very next corner, on the Right. You will notice an antique lamp post with The Mermaid & Dolphin sign hanging from it in front of the Inn, also two large lions at the base of the front steps. Park in front. Come up the steps. Please ring the doorbell. The Inn is a small luxury inn and the Front Desk is only staffed from 4:00-6:00 P.M.   Check-in begins at 4:00 P.M. If you will be arriving after 6:00 P.M., please ask for late arrival arrangements when making your reservation.

From Beaumont/Ferry Landing:
Exit Ferry onto Ferry Road. Take Ferry Road to Seawall Blvd. Travel the scenic Seawall to 33rd Street. Turn Right. Go through two (2) stop lights, one on Avenue P, the next on Avenue O. Come up to 1103 33rd Street. We are at the intersection of 33rd Street and Avenue K, just one block before the third stoplight. We are the white mansion on the corner on the Left hand side of 33rd Street. You will notice an antique lamp post with The Mermaid & Dolphin sign hanging from it in front of the Inn, also two large lions at the base of the front steps. Park in front. Come up the steps. From Cruise Terminal's Parking Lot:
Galveston's Cruise Terminal's parking facility is located on 33rd Street @ Harborside Drive. Cruise Line Shuttles run from the lot to the Cruise Terminal, and back again. The Mermaid & Dolphin is located at 1103 33rd Street. When leaving the parking lot, turn left. Go 11 blocks. The Mermaid & Dolphin is the large white mansion on the right. You will notice an antique lamp post with The Mermaid & Dolphin sign hanging from it in front of the Inn, also two large lions at the base of the front steps. Park in front. Come up the steps. Please ring the doorbell. The Inn is a small luxury inn and the Front Desk is only staffed from 4:00-6:00 P.M.  Check-in begins at 4:00 P.M.
