The tropical beach locations welcome you this summer to ride the ocean waves with dolphins.
Acres of pristine white sand and clear blue water sparkling in the sunlight is all you need to achieve nirvana.
But the waters are full of various sea creatures. The dolphins are the most coveted attraction amongst them all. If you have dreams of this moment forever, here are the things you must do so you can make the best out of the experience.
How to Be Prepared?
- Basic Gears
If you are all set for an adventure, make sure your backpack has all the essential gears. Flip flops, quick-drying towels, sunscreens, a bottle of water and a change of clothes are a must.
- Swimming Gear
If you are interested in snorkeling or want to indulge in a quick splash on the beach, carry proper snorkeling gear. There are shops right outside from where you board the boats that take all the equipment you will need.
- Binoculars
The ocean is teeming with striped, bottle-nose dolphins at any time of the year. In the spring, you can also see spotted dolphins. Invest in a good pair of binoculars. If you are on the boats, the dolphins will get so close sometimes that it genuinely feels like you are swimming with them. The binoculars will come in handy when you are chilling on the beach sipping Pina Coladas.
- Camera
Bring an underwater camera. You do not have to be proficient in photography to be able to snatch a few epic shots of these majestic creatures.
Things to Remember
Messing with the dolphins in any way is not tolerated. There are a limited number of boats, and all of them go through strict scrutiny to ensure that sea life is safe in all ways. The authorities track how long a boat is sailing, how they are treating and approaching the dolphins. Treat the sea life with respect, or the trip could end up quickly with everyone on-board getting banned.
What to Expect on a Day’s Adventure?
The hotels will provide you a pickup and drop facility to the major beach locations. According to your plan, you may find your boat and captain waiting for you there. The boat will take you to the ideal spot, and meanwhile, your captain will brief you on all the rules and safety conditions about swimming with dolphins.
If you are watching from the boat, keep your binocular handy. If you are going to swim, the captain will let you when a spinner or bottle-nose dolphin is spotted. Slip into the water quietly and enjoy watching the dolphins sailing the seas.
The boat will also take you for snorkeling around the coral reefs around Crystal Rock. Enjoy a hearty lunch at the nearby beach, and explore the gorgeous views.
